Barcelona president speaks out and give update on big transfer deal
With the January transfer window slowly approaching, FC Barcelona club president, Josep Maria Bartomeu has thought it wise to give some sort of update about one transfer deal.
Bartomeu clarified the true situation of the exit transfer of Arda Turan who has been linked with a move to Turkish side Galatasaray.
Turan joined Barcelona in 2015 from Atletico Madrid but has not been an impact so far. A move away certainly seems very likely as he is yet to make an appearance under Ernesto Valverde.
His exit is not expected to fetch Barcelona a lot in transfer fee, but the transfer of his wages from Barcelona;s books, would be a huge relieve to the club.
Speaking in an interview with Turkish publication Fanatik via Mundo Deportivo, Bartomeu admitted that he was not aware of any offer from Galatasaray.
He said: “Arda Turan is one of the important players of our team. Obviously I want him to continue his sports career here with us.
“Now he was inactive because of an injury, but he is already in better shape. We will see what happens when he is fully recovered and ready for his coach.
“We have not received any official offer from Galatasaray or any other club by Arda Turan.”
“The future of Arda Turan is in your hands. It will be he who will finally decide his destiny.”
Meanwhile his agent, Ahemt Bulut had earlier revealed that the player would soon find a new club.
The 30-year-old was spotted taking a stroll through wealthy Knightsbridge with his agent who posted a picture of the pair on Instagram.
“It’s not clear right now where he is going but he will leave from Barcelona in January.” he said.
“We’re talking with three or four teams from Spain, Italy and England.
“There is no contact with Galatasaray, after 15 days we’ll make a final decision.”
