Huge swap deal between Barcelona and Manchester United involving two superstars
Barcelona and Manchester United could be doing a piece of transfer business as soon as the January transfer window if reports from the English media outlets are to be believed.
A couple of days ago, Barcelona were linked with a move for Anthony Martial. The Blaugrana have been very impressed with the Frenchman despite little confidence shown in him from Jose Mourinho.
Martial has started only 4 games across all competitions so far this season and has still managed an impressive 5 goals and 5 assists.
September was a good month for him as he won United’s Player of the Month.
Back in 2015, Martial cost United about 50 million euros with bonuses likely to push the deal to 80million euros.
Manchester United wants Rakitic
Barcelona wants another talented and skillful attacker to run their flanks, and United are unwilling to make the deal happen.
But after initially refusing to make a deal, there’s a change of stance and Mourinho wants Ivan Rakitic in a cash plus player swap deal.
Jose Mourinho said to be a long-term admirer of the talents of the 29-year-old who joined Barcelona in 2014.
Rakitic has since won 2 La Liga titles, 3 Copa Del Reys and the Champions League in his three seasons with Barcelona.
