Dani Alves was Paris Saint Germain’s summer recruit after the Ligue 1 club stole him from the grips of Manchester City in a late move.
The Brazilian joined joined the Parisian outfit to become part of a growing group of South Americans, including Thiago Silva, Edinson Cavani, Angel Di Maria and, most recently, Neymar.
Alves wants Sanchez
And the right-back has now revealed he needs Alexis Sanchez to join the South American contingent in Paris.
Speaking after facing Chile in the last game of the South American World Cup qualifiers, Alves welcomed the mercurial forward to PSG.
‘It’s a possibility, but there are several teams that want him (Alexis Sanchez).’ he said.
“I want him to be happy wherever he goes, but if that’s with us, it’s better.’ Alves told reporters – as reported by Goal.
Both players could have good memories as teammates after time together at Barcelona.
And they could have easily reunited at Manchester City if Arsenal succeeded in signing Thomas Lemar and agreed to sell the Chilean to City.
Sanchez has just months to go on his current Arsenal deal and the Gunners are hopeful they can agree fresh terms.
Brazil’s 3-0 victory in Sao Paulo meant La Roja, who finished 6th, failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
‘It’s always difficult to come up against players like Alexis, with this quality and level but we’ve been concentrating over the whole game and we’ve done a great job,’ Alves added.
