Dani Alves wasn’t happy with Barcelona players for not attending FIFA Best award… Read his comments
The FIFA awards held yesterday in Zaurich,Switzerland in all it’s glamour.
Cristiano Ronaldo was crown the best player once again rounding up his fantastic 2016.
In winning the FIFA Best he becomes the first player to do so and adds yet another historical feat to his name.
Other players were still recognized for their performances as they made the FIFA FIFPro World.
Four players from Barcelona, five from Real Madrid and one from Bayern Munich and Juventus each made the list.
But with the Copa del Rey game less that 48 hours after the awards, Barcelona players opted to stay back to prepare for it.
Juventus defender Dani Alves revealed his disappointment and was really looking forward to seeing his former team-mates again.
The Brazilian who wanted more Barcelona representatives, said via Marca:
‘They should have come. That’s my opinion.
They’re more than prepared for Wednesday’s game. You have to respect their decision but they should have been here. I saw a lot of white and I felt bad.’
