Good news: Coach confirms his star player is going to Barcelona
Barcelona’s hunt for the very best talent in the game continues and the Catalans appear to have achieved success in their pursuit of one of the best South Americans, Arthur Henrique.
The Gremio midfielder looks set to move to the Camp Nou and Gremio coach, Renato has confirmed this.
“The pressure has been huge, that’s normal.” Renato said.
“If he will continue? Sincerely, I find that difficult to see.”
“It makes us happy to have a player that’s being watched by European sides,” said the coach.
“Maybe we don’t have a player of his quality but we have others who can replace him. He’s helped us a lot, but I think it will be hard to keep him.”
Recall that Barcelona found themselves in trouble with Gremio last week after unauthorized pictures of Arthur in a Barcelona jersey surfaced online.
The Brazilian club threatened to report Barcelona to FIFA for what they perceived as going behind their backs to negotiate a deal
However, Barcelona have tendered an apology which has been accepted.
In addition, Arhtur also revealed that no contract was negotiated during his meeting with the Barcelona representatives.
Arthur was the MVP at the just concluded Copa Libertadores, but was injured and would miss the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi next week.
