Hulk explains how he persuaded Oscar to sign for Shanghai SIPG
Chelsea and the Chinese Super League are cooking up quite a good relationship when it comes to do transfer business.
Since the money from the far East nation started flowing into European football, players like Ramires, Oscar and Mikel Obi and all moved to China.
Oscar joined Shanghai SIPG in a deal that rumor says would fetch him €460,000 a week.
Chelsea were also be smiling to the bank as they received €60 million for the Brazilian.
But according to Oscar’s Brazilian team-mate Hulk, the then Chelsea star wasn’t exactly interested in China.
In an interview via Goal, Hulk explained just how he was able to convince Oscar to dump Europe.
Hulk was quoted as saying:
“I talked to Oscar about Shanghai SIPG before he made the move,”
“I said to him that Shanghai is a beautiful city, the club is fantastic and we will get even better in the coming years.
“I also said our team-mates are very friendly and welcoming, which makes me feel pretty good. After hearing what I told him, he came.”
Oscar, was on fire in their friendly game against Al Batin as he scored in first goal for his new employer.
