The two Barcelona players who were tested for doping after Espanyol game
Barcelona’s game against Espanyol saw Ernesto Valverde’s men completely dominate their opponents who appeared to have entered the game with a mindset of defending.
It took Luis Suarez just eight minutes to cancel out Espanyol’s first-leg 1-0 lead. Barcelona made a move down the right and when Messi found Aleix Vidal he crossed and Suarez threw himself at the ball flashing a bullet header past Pau Lopez in the Espanyol goal.
After 23 minutes, Messi was determined to get his name on the scoresheet and went hunting for his goal.
He forced an error, won possession, and his shot deflected in off of Naldo and past Lopez to make it 2-0 for Barcelona.
The match finished at 2-0 and after the game, a post from Ivan Rakitic has shown that he was taking to doping control along with Sergi Roberto.
He shared a picture and wrote: “Go team! With the great Sergi Roberto in the doping control!”
