Lewandowski’s agent confirms how much he turned down from China
Chinese clubs are pushing to be superpowers in football. Hardly a week goes by without one top star being linked with a move to China.
Money is no problems for these super rich clubs who operate without any rule like the Financial Fair Play regulation hovering over their heads.
Teams around Europe are helpless once the player decides to leave and Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez has warned the the Chinese Super League are a threat to European clubs.
But for some players, ampoule football is not all about money and Robert Lewandowksi also has such a view.
The Poland international signed a new deal with Bayern Munich last December but could easily have boarded the long flight to China.
His agent Cezary Kucharski has now revealed that an enormous offer came in that would have earned the Bayern Munich striker more than the €40m Carlos Tevez earns.
The club was unnamed but some reports say around $200 million was offered to Bayern Munich.
Cezary Kucharski, told SportoweFakty: “I was contacted by an agent who brings stars to China. The club name wasn’t mentioned.
If Lewy had decided to move to China, his salary would have been significantly higher than €40m, which means more than Carlos Tevez earns.”
Kucharski added: “It’s obvious: Lewy is not only younger but also a better player than Tevez. Robert is not for sale right now,” but I never say never. Life offers several solutions.”
The Poland international shared the picture above on his Instagram and wrote:
This club, this city gives me the ability to make all my football dreams come true! That is why I decided to stay for the next years. I believe that in a few years the name Lewandowski will settle permanently in the history of this great club!
