REVEALED: Messi’s discussion with Neymar over possible Barcelona return
When Barcelona signed Neymar from Santos back in 2013, the club never expected their union to last for only four years.
But that was how the story went with Neymar cutting off ties with Barcelona to join Paris Saint Germain in a 222 million euro deal.
When you look at Neymar’s statistics so far, he hasn’t done badly for him, and he frankly wasn’t expect to do badly considering the Ligue 1 is considered less competitive than the La Liga.
Ney has scored 11 goals in 12 appearances so far and Unai Emery is dreaming of better days ahead.
However, there has been constant reports saying the Brazilian was unhappy with life at PSG. From the dressing room atmosphere to the Unai Emery who sources say employs training methods frustrating to Neymar.
A source is quoted saying: “He is not happy with the methods of Unai Emery, nor does he feel so comfortable in the dressing room.”
In addition, the Spanish press also report he was in tears after he had signed for PSG, urging Josep Maria Bartomue to pull him out of the deal.
Diario Gol goes further to claim that Neymar talked things over with Messi who consoled him and supported his decision. In addition, the duo even discussed a possible return back to Barcelona.
They go further to say that all bridges of a return have been burned the moment he decided to join PSG.
Meanwhile, speaking last week, Neymar insisted all rumours of a move away were false.
“I want to ask you to stop creating stories which are not true,” he said.
“I want to say what I think. I’m totally realistic and what I don’t like is these false stories about me, there is nothing bothering me at my club.
But despite Neymar’s comments, Unai Emery had also admitted that Neymar was yet to adapt to the team. (Read here)
Neymar has left Cantona shocked at his decision
Manchester United legend Eric Catona had questioned the wisdom of leaving Barcelona to move to PSG.
“When you are 25 years old and you are playing for Brazil and Barcelona, I wonder why you would move to Ligue 1 to play against Amiens or Guingamp?” he queried.
