The surprising details from Messi’s jersey collection you didn’t notice
Yesterday was an interesting one with Lionel Messi as he gave us a peak into his incredible jersey collection.
Over 70 jerseys collected in his 13-year career was neatly kept in a special room in his house.
Messi had the jerseys of some of the greatest players he faced or played with. And names like Thierry Henry, Raul, Iker Casillas, Francesco Totti, Pavel Nedved, Philipp Lahm, Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure hung proudly around the room.
There were some lesser known names too, but a few curious questions were left unanswered.

No Cristiano Ronaldo, but how did Lanzini’s jersey get there?
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been battling each other for years. And among all his opponents he had their jerseys, he has faced Ronaldo the most.
But curiously, Messi didn’t have the jersey of the Portuguese. However, West Ham player Manuel Lanzini was seen despite the fact that both players have never played against or with each other.
Lanzini had met Messi when he was on loan at West Ham in January 2016.
No Neymar, Xavi or Iniesta
They were plenty of his Barcelona team-mates past and present feature, including Dani Alves, Cesc Fabregas, Gerard Pique and Luis Suarez. But Neymar’s jersey was absent or couldn’t be seen.
