Messi had the perfect reply to reports he spent €37,330 in one meal
Lionel Messi spent some days relaxing with his family in Ibiza. The Barcelona superstar was joined by Cesc Fabregas and Luis Suarez who also came with their families.
And they had some good fun both out in the water and on shore. With the big bucks they earn at their respective clubs, they went for nothing but luxury, renting out the Seven C that costs around 7,000 euros-a-day.
But one picture was making the rounds on Saturday showing a restaurant receipt of Messi.
The bill was for a staggering €37,330 for a meal shared by Leo Messi, Antonella Roccuzzo, Luis Suarez, Sofia Balbi, Cesc Fabregas and Daniella Semaan.
But interestingly they weren’t buying any expensive wine or champagne. Rather, it was spent on 27 pizzas (€621), 7 burgers(€112), 4 fruit baskets (€1000), and 41 bottles of champagne for a total of 24,600 euros, with the tax adding up to 6,478 euros.
Well as ridiculous as that sounds, many actually believed it. And Messi has angrily reacted in anger.
Messi commented on the picture and the translation reads: “What a way to talk sh**. What a way to invent (lie). The cutest thing is that people believe it.”
