Trouble as PSG could be forced to sell Neymar back to La Liga
Paris Saint Germain turned the transfer market on its head when they signed Neymar from Barcelona in the last transfer market.
The deal cost the Qatari-backed club 222 million euros which was a scandalous sum to pay on just one player.
Things have been fantastic for PSG with the likes of Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe in their attack. And there has been no shortage of goals for the Ligue 1 giants.
But off the field, the Paris club are facing troubles at the very top of their management.
PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been dragged into an investigation by the Switzerland police involving bribing FIFA officials for the World Cup rights.
Al-Khelaifi is the head of the Qatari State Investment fund which own PSG and are its decision makers.
But Al-Khelaifi’s charges could have huge implications on the Neymar deal.
According to El Gol Digital, the businessman could face a substantial fine from FIFA that could see PSG forced to sell Neymar.
His sale would also be seen as a way to improve relations with FIFA.
Return to Spain
And the report goes on to add that a move back to La Liga is also possible. But with relationship between Neymar and the Barcelona board completely dead, a move to fierce rivals Real Madrid is on the cards.
In addition, the 25-year-old reportedly tried to impose a clause in his contract at PSG which would help him secure a move to Real in the future.
