PSG president under criminal investigation for corruption
Paris Saint Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was bossing over teams across Europe in the last transfer window as he virtually signed every player he wanted.
Players like Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were all grabbed from their respective clubs in jaw-dropping deals.
But the Billionaire is now under the spotlight once again and this time it’s for the bad reason.
According to a press statement, Nasser Al-Khelaifi is under investigation for corruption.
The criminal proceedings were opened in Switzerland as part of an investigation into former FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke.
And statement from the office for the attorney general of Switzerland (OAG) read:
“(It is) suspected that Jerome Valcke accepted undue advantages from a businessman in the sports rights sector in connection with the award of media rights for certain countries at the FIFA World Cups in 2018, 2022, 2026 and 2030 and from Nasser Al-Khelaifi in connection with the award of media rights for certain countries at the FIFA World Cups in 2026 and 2030,”
