Coutinho’s first match at the Camp Nou (Video)
Philippe Coutinho’s future at Liverpool remains uncertain with Barcelona hovering around.
Liverpool do not want to sell and the player handed in a transfer request on Friday to the disappointment of millions of Liverpool fans.
But should he sign for Barcelona, it would not be his first time playing in the LaLiga.
Countinho was snapped up by Inter Milan in 2008 as a 16-year-old. But it wasn’t until he turned 18 in 2010 that the move became effective.
He stayed for one season with the Italians (2010/11), before heading off on loan to join Barcelona’s city rivals, Espanyol.
He made 16 appearances for the club under now Tottenham manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
He came on as a substitute and Barcelona were already two goals up. On the other side of the Catalan, Messi would score four goals for Pep Guardiola.
