The Best FIFA awards has come and gone with most still trying to get over their respective disappointments.
With the awards over, FIFA has now given fans an insight into how things played out behind the scenes.
Votes were draw from captains and coaches of national teams, some selected journalist and the fans.
Two players in contention for the top gong were Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
And as it turns out, both players are leaders in their respective national teams and eligible to vote.
So who did they vote for?
Despite all the talk in the public about mutually admiring themselves, it turns out neither of them wanted the other to get his hands on the award.
As expected Messi and Ronaldo did not vote for each other but went for their team-mates.
Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, plumped for 1. Gareth Bale, 2. Luka Modric and 3. Sergio Ramos.
Messi, the captain of Argentina, went for 1. Luis Suarez, 2. Neymar and 3. Andres Iniesta.
