Real Madrid’s plan to frustrate Barcelona’s attempt for major transfer deal
The transfer market is heating up as clubs need to make decisions as soon as possible, and clubs who are selling need to do so soon to afford time time to get replacements.
Borussia Dortmund have seen Ousmane Dembele attract interest from Barcelona, and they need to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
An offer from Barcelona of around 110 million euros has already been turned down. And latest reports say Real Madrid want in on the action.
According to Spanish radio, RAC 1 journalist Gerard Romero, Real Madrid are prepared to also include their players in part of the deal.
In addition, they also claim Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez made a request to his counter-part at Dortmund, Rainhard Reuball: “Before you sell him [Dembélé], tell me how much for”. The two club presidents enjoy a firm relationship.
Madrid and Barcelona have gone head to head at least three times already this summer. And it was Florentino Perez who came out on top with signings like Theo Hernández, Vinicius Júnior, and Dani Ceballos.
Real Madrid have been linked to Monaco star Kylian Mbappe. But interest in the teenager appears to have cooled as he looks more likely to join Paris Saint Germain instead.
